Traffic Pattern Change on Aramingo Ave. at B.Ross Bridge Int.

Jul 16, 2019
July 15 - Two lanes of southbound Aramingo Avenue traffic have been shifted onto the newly-constructed western half of the bridge over the Frankford Creek at the I-95/Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange in Philadelphia for utility work in the middle section of the roadway between Church Street and Wheatsheaf Lane.

Northbound Aramingo Avenue is reduced to one lane on the bridge.

Work in the center is expected to continue through the summer.

At the completion of utility work, northbound traffic will be shifted onto the southbound side of Aramingo Avenue for construction of the eastern side of the bridge.

PennDOT is reconstructing, extending and improving Aramingo Avenue under an $81 million contract that also includes construction of an extension of Adams Avenue from Torresdale Avenue to a new intersection with Aramingo Avenue at the interchange ramps.

The project is scheduled to be completed by August 20, 2020.
