Scheduled Improvements

Phase one (GR0) of  I-95/Girard Avenue Interchange Project has been completed. Major improvements include the following:

  • Constructed a spur road carrying northbound Aramingo Avenue through the interchange area
  • Constructed a new off-ramp, adjacent to the existing off-ramp from I-95 at Girard Avenue, to Aramingo Avenue south
  • Installed storm water drainage, signage

Phase one (CP1) of the I-95/Cottman Avenue Interchange Project includes the following improvements:

  • Relocate existing utilities on Cottman Avenue, Princeton Avenue and State Road
  • Install anew water main and sewer main along Cottman Avenue between Torresdale Avenue and State Road
  • Reconstruct Cottman Avenue between Torresdale Avenue and State Road
  • Install "traffic calming" features on Princeton Avenue between Torresdale Avenue and State Road
  • Construct a new access ramp from Milnor Street to the existing on-ramp to I-95 north
  • Construct a new on-ramp to I-95 south from State Road at Longshore Avenue
  • Remove the existing on-ramp to I-95 south from Princeton Avenue
  • Reconstruct and widen State Road between Princeton and Cottman avenues.
  • Reconstruct State Road between Princeton and Longshore avenues
