Archaeologists working on the I-95/Girard Avenue Interchange Project have unearthed a bit of history beneath I-95 in Port Richmond in the form of the Aramingo Canal.  The five mile-long Canal was part of the transportation infrastructure that served the area's developing commercial interests in the mid-19th Century.
