Reviving Interstate 95 at a Glance...

PennDOT is working on a long-term, multi-phase infrastructure initiative to improve and rebuild I-95 in Pennsylvania.  Read more 

In the area between Academy Road and Interstate 676 in Philadelphia, you'll find construction zones at the Girard Avenue (Exit 23) and Cottman Avenue (Exit 30) interchanges. In addition to rebuilding the interstate, its bridges and interchanges, the I-95 projects will improve traffic flow by adding new ramps and creating a four-lane highway in both directions to provide continuous lanes connecting the on-off ramps. Cottman Avenue, at the base of the northbound off-ramp, is narrowed to two lanes for construction of improvements that will provide access to a new southbound on-ramp, which will be built in 2014.
