A section of westbound Cottman Avenue (Route 73) in Northeast Philadelphia will be closed during the nighttime and overnight hours Monday through Friday, Jan. 18-22 for installation of a new water main.

The operations will close Cottman Avenue between State Road and Keystone Street from 7 p.m. each evening to 6 a.m. the following morning. Cottman Avenue is a one-way westbound street in this area.

A posted detour will take westbound motorists north on State Road, west Rhawn Street and south on Torresdale Avenue.

Motorists heading eastbound on Route 73 will be directed south on Torresdale Avenue, left on Disston Street and State Road.

This operation is part of PennDOT’s $31.9 million project to improve the I-95/Cottman Avenue Interchange.
