Project Specifics 

In addition to improving the ramp access and removing commercial traffic from some neighborhood streets, I-95/BSR will improve traffic flow for the estimated 180,000 motorists who drive each day on I-95.

Mainline improvements

• Reconstruction of four through lanes in each direction and widening of the median and shoulders.
• Reconstruction or repair of 28 northbound and southbound bridges.

At the Bridge Street Interchange

• Close the existing ramp from I-95 South to James Street.
• Build a new off-ramp from I-95 South to Tacony Street. This ramp will  improve access to businesses near the interchange, including the Arsenal Business Center and keep commercial traffic off James Street.
• Reconstruct the remaining off and on ramps.
